Barbara Walworth was born and raised in Michigan. Her journey into art began with sketching and photography, later developing into a fascination for the movement of watercolor on paper. Her artwork has been featured locally at the Shiawassee Art Center, the Greater Flint Art Center, and the Art Sales and Rental Gallery at the FIA. Throughout the state, she has exhibited in Chelsea, Clio, Flushing, Lansing, and Saginaw.
Since 2005, Barbara has attended numerous art workshops and has added all water media to her arsenal of tools. Gravitating to saturated colors and unusual subjects, but also, periodically, using monochromatic colors and traditional subjects, she enjoys experimenting with different techniques and materials.
As Barbara explains, “It is my belief that art should be interesting and entertaining to the painter and the viewer. I am finding that it is the variety of mediums, methods, and expression that inspire me to paint.”
