$55.00 – $65.00
PAINTING FUNdamentals Series I with Andrea Czarnik
Thursdays, September 9 – 30, 1-3pm. $55 SAC Member/$65 Non-member
What makes us a better painter? Each week we will learn, practice and build on basic elements of painting as a tool we take with us to create better art. Each week, there will be frequent demonstrations by the instructor and student practices that sharpen your focus during each painting session. Each student will get individual attention.
This 4 week series builds at your own pace for the fun of learning the following tools:
Supplies: Basic Gouche paint set (Hobby Lobby or Michael’s sells tube kits with 12-24d colors).
Brushes:
1″ flat, 3/4″ flat, 1/2″ flat, and smaller for option detail
About the Artist: Andrea Czarnik
Painting pushes Andrea Czarnik to interpret the greatness of nature surrounding her as an architect envisions a 3-dimensional world come alive on a 2-D surface. She immersed herself in the painting process through study with other gifted artists, schools (Art Institute, American Academy of Art, U or IL Architecture), and regional plein air painting groups in the Midwest and Colorado.
“A good painting creates a harmonious moment beyond what a person commonly sees.”
