Product Description

The process includes working on sanded pastel paper and utilizes odorless mineral spirits for building a strong underpainting. Also covered, will be the importance of composition and focal point as well as the special considerations for framing finished pastel work. Tom’s art has received state, national and even international attention.  In 2013, Tom was one of 100 artists chosen from 3,000 applicants to be featured in Pastel Journal Magazine. That same year, he submitted a piece which was chosen for a book called Art of the Sleeping Bear Dunes.  Tom, along with three other artists, participated in a Japanese-U.S. art exchange program, which included workshops and exhibitions.
