The Shiawassee Arts Center is presenting the 13th Annual SAC Member Artists Exhibition, May 4-June 13, with 88 participating SAC members. Also featured is the artwork of members from the SAC Artists Guild with a "Green" exhibit theme. The opening reception with music by Glenda Davis and refreshments is Friday, May 7, from 6-8 pm --- refreshments and piano music by Glenda Davis will be provided. The public is invited to attend and also to vote for their favorite work of art. The winning artist will receive the $100 People's Choice Award. The exhibit is sponsored by Owosso Graphic Arts

The Shiawassee Arts Center is located at 206 Curwood Castle Drive in Owosso and is open Tuesday through Sunday, 1-5 pm. The Arts Center features the artwork of local and statewide artists in nine galleries including the Frieseke Gallery and a specialty Gift Shop. The public is welcome and there is no admission charge. The Shiawassee Arts Council, celebrating its 38th anniversary in 2010, is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to encourage participation and appreciation of the arts.
