Jeanne grew up in Grand Haven, Michigan surrounded by water, woods, and dunes, which would later have an influence on her art. She has lived in the Owosso area for the past 48 years. After teaching elementary school, and raising a family of five children, she studied painting with many contemporary artists.
For the past 15 years, experimenting with water media has been her passion. She taught watercolor through the Owosso High School Community Enrichment Program and Shiawassee Arts Center for about 20 years. Her involvement with the SAC led to her position as its first director. After retiring, Jeanne resumed painting seriously, entering regional and national juried competitions, winning numerous awards. She is a member of several art organizations and galleries including The Jordan Gallery, Shiawassee Arts Center, Lansing Art Gallery, International Society of Experimental Artists (signature membership 2011), Michigan Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, Mid-Michigan Art Guild, Flint Institute of Arts, and Flint Artists Market (past president). Her paintings are included in public and private collections throughout the U.S.A.
