Spring Break Art Camp!

Spring Break Art Camps – April 7-9, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, 1pm – 5pm. K – 5th Grades. Come one, two or all three days!

Dress for mess! If you aren’t going to Cancun or Tahiti…come to SAC’s Tropical Get Away and become “unfrozen!” Pre-registration required so that adequate materials will be available. Snack provided. 25 per day member/$30 per day non-member.

Tuesday – “Michigan Day” – Make some special Michigan gifts to put away for Mother’s Day, (May 10) and Father’s Day, (June 21) Linda Ruehle, Instructor.

Wednesday – Tropical Palm Tree Painting with Acrylics with Artist, Gwen Sutton. Also paint a visor. Sea Turtle Mosaic with Linda Ruehle. Wear your shorts and bring flip flops if you want!

Thursday – Recycle, Reclaim, Reuse! Let’s make Robots and other amazing things with recycled materials! Collect items to bring with you and we will collect too. Linda Ruehle, Instructor. Call (989) 723-8354


Meet Robin Fisher, SAC Board Member

 

Robin has trained in the art of dance for more than 30 years, beginning in Michigan and continuing in New York and Chicago. At the age of 14, she started her professional career-performing, studying and traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She has studied with Jazz and Tap Masters, including Joe Tremaine, Frank Hatchett, Joel Hall, Gus Giordano, Henry La Tang, Jimmy Payne, Buster Brown and Savion Glover.

Shiawassee Artists’ Guild “Kaleidoscope” exhibit

Corunna Artist, BONNIE BROWN AND Owosso Artists, JANET BAUGHER & JEANNE CURTIS are exhibiting their beautiful artwork at the Arts Center with the other members in the Shiawassee Artists’ Guild “Kaleidoscope” exhibit. You are invited to meet the artists at the opening reception this Sunday, March 29, 2-4pm

1.  Castle River Rice (Miner & Voight Trails) 8 miles
2. Fred Meijer CIS Trail 22 miles (limited SAG)
Helmets Are Required

Entry Fees:
Before July 1st – Adults $15, Family $20
After July 1st – Adults $20, Family $35

Food:
Continental breakfast will be provided starting at 8am
There will be food stops along the longer route

Water Bottle:
Included with your entry fee (while quantities last)

T-Shirts:

Celebration of Youth Arts Month

CHRISTINA’s beautiful Paper Mache Peacock will be on display at Wendy’s Restaurant in Owosso during the month of March along with other SAC art class students’ ZOO Creations. This is the 13th year that SAC has teamed up with Wendy’s for their “Celebration of Youth Arts Month.” Buy a hot chili (or frosty if you like more cold stuff) and view this colorful and creative exhibit!

 


Current Exhibit

Frankfort, Michigan Photographer, STEVE LOVELESS is currently exhibiting his Michigan nature photographs at SAC with his wife, ANN LOVELESS, who is displaying her art quilts. The show continues thru March 22 and the reception to meet the artists, see their work and enjoy good food and music is this Sunday, February 22, 2-4pm. YOU ARE INVITED!
